These speaking frames support the progressive development and reinforcement of learners peer and self-assessment skills and vocabulary from Nursery to Year 6.  

In order for peer and self-assessment to be effective learners need to have the skills and vocabulary required to assess what they have achieved.

We need to train children over time to assess their own work and develop an appropriate language.
