FP/KS1 Numerical Reasoning Activity Cards & PPT


These 46 activity cards and 2013 PPT are designed to develop learners' reasoning skills. The aim of the activities is to encourage thinking, mathematical discussion and reasoning. Regular use of the activities will support learners to explain their thinking and prove their ideas.

    The activities can be used for whole class discussions, group work or individual challenges and can be part of a lesson, homework challenges, or a standalone alone activity such as settling children down after play.

    This resource has 46 activity cards and a PPT of the activities for the reasoning strategy 'If this is the answer, what is the question?' It covers the areas of Number, Measure, Geometry and Data.

    The resource is part of a set. Each set focuses on one of the reasoning strategies identified in the ‘20 Ways to Make it Reasoning’ poster
