The grammar booklets are designed to support schools and parents and carers in developing their knowledge and understanding of the grammar expectations in the 'Curriculum for Wales: revised Areas of Learning for the FP and revised programmes of study for KS2. 

This booklet covers expectations for Y4 in the following areas:

• spelling
• punctuation
• sentence structure
• connectives
• word class
• language
• handwriting

Each booklet explains the grammar expectation statements with activities for developing skills in each area in the classroom and at home.
There are grammar booklets available for Reception to Year 6.
